A man holding a Turkish flag in Ankara confronted five tanks carrying pro-coup soldiers on the night of July 15, when a failed coup attempt was carried out by agents of the Gülenist terror-cult (FETÖ).
The video shows armored military vehicles proceeding along Atatürk Boulevard on Çankaya Road in the capital when they are unexpectedly stopped by a man waving a Turkish flag.
The man went as far as to lay down in front of the tanks in an attempt to stop them from advancing.
The tanks were only able to continue after they forcefully pushed the man away from the road.
On July 15, a group of rogue soldiers associated with the Gülenist terror-cult (FETÖ), led by Fetullah Gülen, attempted to overthrow the government in Turkey through a military takeover, killing over 240 people and injuring over 2,000.
Gülenists run a vast network of schools around the globe, but are primarily invested in charter schools in the U.S., which receive government funding but operate independently of the public school system.
Dozens of schools associated with Gülenists are facing criticism and are under investigation over the alleged misuse of federal grants and the abuse of a visa scheme being used to funnel foreign teachers into charter schools who are brought from Turkey to live in the U.S.
FETÖ, which has seen its members and sympathizers purged from state institutions, including the police and judiciary, was designated by authorities as a national threat, a classification for terrorist organizations.
