Eight people were abducted and one injured in an armed raid which took place overnight on a Greek-registered tanker anchored off the coast of Cameroon, Greek authorities said Tuesday.
Greece's shipping ministry said the Happy Lady tanker was two nautical miles away from the port of Limboh in Cameroon when it was stormed by armed individuals.
Five Greeks, two Filipinos and a Ukrainian were kidnapped, while one Greek national was left injured, the ministry said in a statement.
