Eight soldiers were wounded on Friday after the PKK terror group detonated a roadside bomb during the passage of a military vehicle near the Oğuzlar Site on the Diyarbakır-Silvan highway in southeast Turkey.
According to information received from security forces, the terrorists carried out the attack using handmade explosives planted on the road in advance.
The wounded soldiers were transfered to Diyarbakır Military Hospital by ambulances and an ambulance helicopter.
The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU, resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July, killing more than 430 members of security services during that time.
Ankara has made its determined stance against the PKK terror organization clear, vowing to continue operations until all threats of terror are eradicated.
