Neighbors successfully caught a two-year-old child who fell from a second-story window of an apartment in Istanbul on Saturday.
The child, who leaned out of the window for about ten minutes, caught the attention of the neighbors quickly as they tried to alarm the mother inside the apartment in the city's Kağıthane district.

A video taken near the scene of the incident showed nearby residents opening a wide piece of bed sheet under the window with the hope of breaking the child's fall, eventually catching him on air.
Gürkay Güney, one of the neighbors who rushed to the scene, said the child tried to climb back inside the house after taking his body out completely but failed and let himself fall.
"We tried to calm him down, gave him some water and returned him back to his family. He was terrified," Güney said.
The family declined to speak to the press. Another resident who witnessed the incident said the mother only came downstairs after her child was rescued.
