Two people died and 12 were injured after a bus carrying Turkish handball team players crashed on Saturday along Kahramanmaraş-Kayseri highway.
The bus was reported to have toppled overnear Sarız district in the central province of Kayseri as its driver lost control of the steering wheel.
The bus was carrying Adıyaman Belediyespor handball team's players. The sports club is based in southeastern Turkey and was reportedly on its way to Kayseri to play an away match.
The 21-year-old player Sadın Ünlü lost his life at the scene of the accident, wheras the 20-year-old player Ahmet Öztürk succumbed to his injuries at Erciyes University Hospital.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
