Turkish Airlines flight makes emergency landing over Ebola fear

A Turkish Airlines flight TK1399, flying from Istanbul to Pisa, Italy, made an emergency landing on Tuesday at Fiumicino – Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome after a women and her daughter exhibited symptoms of the Ebola virus.
According to the sources, the captain requested an emergency landing in Rome, where routine Ebola screenings are already underway, after a Bangladeshi woman and her four year old daughter complained of a high fever.
Neither passengers tested positive for the deadly disease after getting tested in the airport's remote zone.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the Ebola outbreak, first reported in Guinea in March, has reached 4,447 from a total of 8,914 cases, World Health Organization Assistant Director General Bruce Aylward said on Tuesday.
