Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his delegation arrived in Bogota, Colombia on Monday, the first stop of his Latin American tour.
The plane carrying the Turkish delegation arrived in Bogota's El Dorada International Airport at 01:50 a.m. local time (06:50GMT).
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is accompanied by his wife and daughter, Emine and Sümeyye Erdoğan, as well as Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Mehdi Eker, Culture and Tourism Minister Ömer Çelik and Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci.
Colombia is Erdoğan's first stop of his Latin American tour, which will continue with visits to Cuba and Mexico.
This is the second visit of a Turkish high level delegation to Latin American countries, with the first held in 1995.
Erdoğan said Sunday before deporting from Istanbul that this will be the first visit of a Turkish President to Colombia, Cuba and Mexico.
